After Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson joined forces for the Aretha Franklin tribute at the 53rd annual Grammy Awards, it appears as if one of the big-voiced divas wouldn't mind taking their collaboration on the road. On Monday, Hudson took to Twitter to ask fans what they thought about her co-headlining a tour with the blond bombshell.
"I c alot of u guys want to see more of me n Christina together . What yal think about us touring together ?" Hudson tweeted. After revealing the star-studded concept, Jennifer admitted that it was just an idea she was brainstorming.
A rep for Aguilera had no comment when MTV News reached out Tuesday (February 22).
With Hudson's I Remember Me hitting stores in exactly one month, a tour seems like a great way to bring her new music to fans. Hudson's sophomore effort marks the songstress' first musical offering since the tragic murder of her mother, brother and nephew in 2008.
Aguilera, who is no stranger to joint tours after partnering up with Justin Timberlake for the Justified/Stripped outing in 2003, has already been confirmed to hit the road this year after postponing her summer tour last year. Even before the singer's Bionic album was met with lackluster sales and mixed reviews, the powerhouse diva postponed her tour due to time constraints. In an open letter to fans, Christina wrote, "After reviewing the schedule with my team, I realized there was not enough time to put together and rehearse for a proper show, one that is at the caliber you expect from me or at the level I would present to my fans."
