The upcoming ?Superman? movie just keeps getting more exciting, and now Diane Lane has signed on to play Martha Kent.
According to director Zack Snyder, he was very careful about who he cast as ?the only mother Clark Kent has ever known.?

Snyder explained, ?This was a very important piece of casting for me because Martha Kent is the woman whose values helped shape the man we know as Superman.?
